Enugu First Lady accuses Governor Chime of treating her like a slave
The First Lady of Enugu State, Clara Chime has cried out to human rights bodies to save her from the brutal hands of Governor Sullivan Chime, whom she has accused of treating her like a slave.The First Lady in an emotion-laden letter obtained by SaharaReporters disclosed that since she got married to the governor, sometime in October 2008, she had never enjoyed her marriage and has been denied of her matrimonial rights.She claimed that since she moved into Chime’s house, they have never slept on the same bed.
Clara in the letter also alleged that she has been introduced to two psychiatrists whom she identified as Dr. Onwukwe and Dr. Agumo, and they prescribed
“all kinds of drugs that end up keeping me acute depressed and also drives me into hallucinations."

20-year-old accused of raping 14-year-old
A 20-year-old boy, Feyi Olatunji, has been arrested by the Police in Ile-Ife for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the state Police Command, DSP Folashade Odoro, said in a statement in Osogbo that the suspected rapist was arrested in Ile-Ife after committing the alleged offence.
Odoro said the 14-year-old girl was sent to buy an electrical bulb and food items by her guardian on October 12, when Olatunji dragged her to his mother’s shop at Ogo-Oluwa area of the town and raped her atop a table, then locked her up till the following day.She said that the state Police Command had launched investigations into the matter and would ensure that justice is done, adding that the suspect would be arraigned in court after completion of investigations on the matter.
Army kills 37 Boko Haram militants in Borno
The 7 Division of the Nigerian Army said on Tuesday that it had killed 37 suspected Boko Haram militants after an operation in Borno.
The Spokesman of the division, Captain Aliyu Danja, made the disclosure in a statement in Maiduguri.“Based on available intelligence, troops of 7 Division of the Nigerian Army launched attacks on a suspected Boko Haram camp located in Alagarno in Borno.“The operation, which commenced last Monday, involved a coordinated ground and air assault,” he said.
He said it was a coordinated attack by troops of the 7 Div. in conjunction with 79 composite group of the Nigerian Air Force, Maiduguri, aimed at destroying the terrorists’ camp.
“A total of 37 suspected Boko Haram militants were killed in a gunfire exchange while several others fled with gun shot wounds,’’ the spokesman said.He also said that, “arms and ammunition were recovered. Three Hilux vehicles and several motorcycles belonging to the suspects were destroyed.’’

BBM for Android and iPhone is finally out
Blackberry has resumed a phased rollout of its BBM messaging app for Android and Apple devices after September's botched launch.
The free app is now available for download on Google Play, the App Store and selected Samsung App Stores.But users had to register an email address after downloading the app then wait in line until they were told they could begin using it,Blackberry said:

A Lagos-based teacher, Julia Fagbuaro, has narrated in detail how she fell victim to a robbery gang that specialises in posing as domestic servants only to rob their new employers 24 hours after being hired.PUNCH Metro had reported on September 25, 2013, that the Special Anti-Robbery Squad had arrested the gang members, John Christian, Angela Ekere, Amos Daniel and Gift Christian, shortly after robbing one Mrs. Obasi of money and jewellery worth millions of naira.
The suspects had told PUNCH Metro that they had committed the crime only once. However, after PUNCH Metro publication, two other victims showed up at SARS to narrate their ordeals in the hands of the gang.Fagbuaro told our correspondent that John, under the guise of an agent, had brought one Grace to her (Fagbauro’s) house located in the Ejigbo area of the state. Grace was employed on August 22 2013, only to rob Fagbuaro of all her valuables, the following day.

Man in five-month coma dies
Saheed Waliu, the 28-year-old, who was in a coma five months after being allegedly brutalised by some policemen, is dead.Waliu was said to have given up the ghost at about 9am last Sunday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos.
PUNCH Metro had on October 10, 2013, reported that Waliu was hospitalised at LASUTH, after suffering a brutal attack from yet-to-be identified policemen attached to the Highway patrol, along the LASU-Igando Road on May 8, 2013.He was reportedly on his way home with a friend, Sherif Eleda, when the incident occurred. Waliu’s aged mother had told PUNCH Metro that the policemen had thrown an iron rod at Waliu, causing him to fall from his bike.He was said to have suffered a cracked skull and a broken leg in the process.No formal complaint was made at the nearest police station to the scene of the incident. Waliu’s family at the time, were said to be more preoccupied with how to save his life.
Despite the two surgeries performed on his head, Waliu reportedly never regained consciousness since the night of the attack.His aged mother, Sadiat, had reportedly kept vigil through the five-month ordeal in the hope that Waliu would get better.His sister, Taiwo, said,
Father of four and lover found dead on Sallah day
It was a tragic end for a father of four and his lover who were found dead naked in a room, at Ago-Iwoye, in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun state yesterday. The man, identified as Akeem, believed to be in his 50s was a father of four children living in his one room apartment with his wife.
SunNews reports his wife and children were said to have travelled to Imodi Imosan to celebrate Sallah with his family, so he used the opportunity of their absence to invite his lover home.It was alleged that Akeem had brought in the lady (whose identity was unknown) on the night his wife travelled with his children.
In the morning, both of them were found dead in the room, with the man lying naked on the bed, while the lady’s body was on a two-seater couch.Akeem and his legal wife was both fashion designers. They both own Alubarika Fashions located at Atomotele compound in Igan road, Ago Iwoye.

I finished my secondary education in a secular institution before moving to Babcock University. I could not finish from Babcock because I had some personal issues. Again, I dropped and enrolled at the National Open University..It affected me in a very spiritual way. In as much as I know worldly things, I still fear God and have faith in Him. The reason why I wanted to become a nun was because I was raised in a Catholic home. I just felt it was the best thing for me to do at that time. I used to see myself as a messenger of God. Even though I did not become a nun, I still remain faithful to God. Part of my dreams is to establish a church and do a lot of charity work"

There was this day I was travelling to Abuja to shoot a movie and I got into the aircraft and met this woman, she was older than my mother. As I made to put my bag in the overhead compartment, I greeted her but she didn't answer me. I just ignored her and sat down. On arrival in Abuja, the woman was struggling to get her luggage from the compartment and I just stretched my hand and helped her to get it. She asked for it without a thank you but I refused to give it to her, offering to help her take it down. On getting out of the aircraft, she again requested for her luggage but I said, madam I'll take it to the arrival hall for you and she looked at me with bewilderment."
