Video: Protesters Strip Oba And Sets Palace Ablaze in Ogun

 There was mayhem on Monday in Ado-Odo, Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State when a traditional ruler, Oba Lateef Adeniran was attacked and stripped naked by some hoodlums who also set his house and cars ablaze.

Some members of the community claimed that the king was imposed on them by the past administration but insisted that peace can only return to the area with the installation of a king generally accepted by the people.The palace was also destroyed while the king's wives and children escaped being lynched by rampaging residents during the violence that ensued following a Supreme Court judgement.

I gave kidnappers information on Okonjo-Iweala's mother -Palace servant

A former servant at the palace of the traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, where the mother of the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, was kidnapped has told PUNCH Metro that he gave the kidnappers the necessary information for the job.The suspect, Chiejine Onochie, said although the kidnappers collected N13m as ransom before the 83-year-old Prof. Kamene Okonjo was released last December, he was not given any money and therefore, was not culpable.He said,

Corper stabbed in his eye by gf for cheating

  A corps member, Emmanuel Oyelara serving in Ebonyi State was last weekend, stabbed in his left eye by one of his girlfriends for allegedly having an affair with another lady within the area of his place of primary assignment.Oyelara who is now lying in a critical condition at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, FETHA, because of the injuries he sustained might never see again as it was reported that before the unfortunate incident his right eye were already defective.

Man sells 6months old baby to raise money to travel to Greece

 One Mr Onyekachi  Ekwelum, who allegedly sold his six-month-old  son to raise funds to process his travel documents, would  be appearing before a magistrate in court to defend his action.Mr Ekwelum allegedly hatched and executed the act without the consent of the wife, but the lid was blown off by his 20-year-old spouse Ozioma when she could not find their son and reported the matter to the police. Her husband had wanted to travel to Greece.
 The Abia State commissioner of Police, Mr Usman Abubakar Tilli, who disclosed this to newsmen in his office on Monday said the police  mounted a man hunt that led to the rescue of the child and the arrest of the suspects.Describing such acts as inhuman, he said the  suspects in  the criminal transaction have been apprehended  and charged to an Umuahia Magistrate court.

Jim Iyke's Facebook impostor arrested

  Jim Iyke's impostor,  Arinze Chikezie has been arrested by the police in Onitsha, Anambra State. Arinze had opened an account on Facebook in Jim Iyke's name to carry out his fraudulent activities asking for funds to save a child. He also opened an account with First City Monument Bank (FCMB)  in Jim's name which he referred his donors to pay into.  Unfortunately,  he ran out of luck when FCMB  called Jim Iyke to confirm if the Facebook Page was actually his and when Jim said  it wasn't his, the impostor was tracked down and handed over to the police.  He confessed that he got some money from people  through the scam.

The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Mrs Funmilayo Olayinka, has died of cancer. She lost her battle with cancer today in Lagos. She' survived by her husband and three kids.
 May her gentle soul rest in peace...AMEN

John Dumelo Denies Marriage, Alleged Wife Confirms It

John Dumelo has denied getting married to Harrina on Twitter saying the marriage certificate is fake. He tweeted
 ‘I wish I was really married…the fake marriage certificate really looks good. Thumbs up to my crew filmin my clothing line documentary.”’
His alleged wife also denied the story on her facebook wall saying
“ It’s funny how media hype things up.. I am not married to this guy. We did a movie together. But I don’t even know how they spelled my name on this fake stuff…”,.
The crazy thing now is that, Ms.Harrina  Alexander has sent email to media houses confirming that she is actually married to John Dumelo.
