Igala Man Chains Son To Tree In A Forest, Leaves Him To Die
The little boy in the pictures above was found yesterday morning (29th Sept 2012)-inside a bush near a river in Okpuno, Awka crying- by the community security service during the sanitation exercise. His legs were bound in chains and locked with a padlock.
From investigations, his father known as Alhaji by his fellow Okada riders, who hails from Igala community of Kogi state, was the one who chained his two legs and left him in that bush for three days without food or water.
This same man then told his neighbors that his son had been missing for three days, prompting his neighbors to join him in a futile search, which the boy's father knew would yield no results, as he was the one who left his son to die in the forest, in the first place.
Thankfully, luck ran out on him yesterday when the security men from the community discovered the boy crying in the bush. The little boy happens to be the only child from his former wife, who no longer lives with him.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: SEUN KUTI to RICK ROSS
"I feel Rick Ross big belly is more worthy of criticism than his video. Is he saying it's right to be obese?" - Seun Kuti.
The singer said this on Rubbing Minds this afternoon on Tv.
On a more serious note , if Rick Ross wants to keep taking off his shirt he should get rid of those... Some women are dying to have boobs that big... #JustSaying

Qatar Airline Makes Emergency Landing in Lagos
Qatar Airline flight 592 from Doha to Lagos made an emergency landing a few minutes ago at the Murtala Muhammed International airport, Lagos. The pilots discovered midair that one tyre had low pressure, making landing difficult. They radioed our airport for emergency precaution and a vehicle to tow the plane from the runway to the gate.
The best part was, more than 95% of the passengers didn't even know anything was wrong until the plane landed and they saw fire service and National Emergency Management Agency all around. One of the passengers tweeted that it was a smooth landing so was surprised that they even had issues.
The plane has been slowly towed to it's landing spot at the airport.

The picture above has been trending on bbm today...According to the story circulating, the woman in the picture was caught cheating by her husband and the end result is what you see in the picture. I'm not in full support of unfaithfulness in a relationship but it is bound to happen one way or the other and the best way out is dialogue and not violence. Marriage is not a do or die affair! if its not working go for marriage counseling and if its still not working end it! and move on with your lives.

GLAM OR SHAM?: KANYE WEST X GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI “CRUEL SUMMER” SHOE
Kanye West may not be showing a collection in Paris this season, but that hasn’t stopped him from designing. The rapper seems to have found his stride when it comes to designing shoes and conceptualized these beauties in collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti:
Kanye‘s shoes, designed to celebrate the launch of G.O.O.D. Music compilation album “Cruel Summer”, feature a slender white heel and porcelain wreaths adorning the thin leather straps.
It brings to mind the album art, which shows a sculptured Greek goddess lying on porcelain wreaths and cupping her breasts.

Chris Brown and Tyga for Dami Duro Remix, Rick Ross On Back When Remix – Davido Tells MTV
The Wrap Up’s Afrobeat columnist Nonny Orakwue recently caught up with Davido – one of Nigeria’s hottest new kids on the block. Making his emergence on the scene in 2011 with the smash ‘Back When’, the teenage artist and producer has already performed to audiences in four continents, opened for D’Banj and been nominated for a string of awards. We speak to Davido about the evolution of the Nigerian music industry, his heart throb status and more…
The Wrap Up: How would you describe your sound in three
words?
Davido: Sexy, enjoyable and danceable.
TWU: You could be described as a triple threat with your skills
in performing and production. How did you start out?
Davido: I started as a producer at first in Nigeria, just pushing local artists, then I just thought I would sing. I got tired of taking my work to the studio to get mixed, so I learnt that too and that’s how I got into the producing, singing and engineering.
TWU: Which artists have influenced your sound and music?
Davido: A lot of Nigerian artists, from 2Face to D’Banj. I like American
music as well, people like Timbaland, Pharrell, Vybz Kartel, Movado – a
mixture of stuff really.
TWU: You’re best known for your two distinctive hits ‘Back When’ and ‘Dami Duro’. If you could have any artist remix
them, who would it be?
Davido: Chris Brown and Tyga for ‘Dami Duro’ because I heard a DJ mix
on the internet where they put Chris Brown’s verse on it and it was
insane. For ‘Back When’ I’d put Rick Ross on it for something hard.
TWU: What was the inspiration behind ‘Dami Duro and ‘Back
When’?
Davido: I recorded ‘Back When’ in London on Old Kent Road. I just did
it; I came back from the club and went straight into the studio and that’s when it just came out – thank God it worked. I recorded ‘Dami Duro’ back in October. In Nigeria I was getting a lot of critics asking if I was a one hit wonder, so I made that song for the haters really – but I’m happy with how it came out.
TWU: You hooked up with UK afrobeats artist Dotstar on the
‘Expensive’ remix. How did that come about and do you have plans to work with any other UK artists?
Davido: My manager was helping Dotstar with some stuff when I heard that Dr. Sid was there – me and him are close, so I just hopped on it. I want to work with Tinie of course. And L Marshall; we went to high school together before he moved out here and we’re planning to do something as well. Tinchy too… that’s it really.
TWU: When you’re not making music, what do you usually get
up to?
Davido: I chill with my cousins and friends… but my life has always
been around music. I’m trying not to slow down because in this industry
I feel like there’s always somebody out there that’s hungrier than you and wants your spot. If you try and relax, somebody will take it. So I’m Just trying to work, work, work… I’m not even trying to take a break at all.
TWU: Which three items can’t you leave the house without?
Davido: My phone, of course! My headphones, because I try and take
them everywhere so that I can listen to stuff… and my ATM card.
TWU: Right now in African entertainment you’re seen as a bit of a heartthrob. What is your ideal woman?
Davido: I don’t really have an ideal woman, it is just whoever I fall in love with; but she would be smart and have her own money because I’m not into girls who just want money. I’d like someone who has her own goals and who would support my stuff.
TWU: You and the whole HKN crew are quite distinct in your style – you dress in a similar fashion to UK and US artists. What has been the response from the older generation in Nigeria?
Davido: If I am performing at a wedding or something I make sure not
to expose my body, but I feel like the people that really care about things like that are getting older and younger people are replacing them. In America, there are a lot of things you can get away with in the industry – you can have sex tapes or pictures of people smoking and people don’t really care. I am not saying that it is right, but I feel like in
Nigeria people are moving more towards that direction; but people have to be careful. I look at myself as a role model and I wouldn’t want kids looking at me saying ‘Davido has tattoos, I want tattoos!’
TWU: Speaking about the evolution of the Nigerian music industry, where do you see it going?
Davido: I see it going super international. We have D’Banj working with Big Sean and Kanye West and P Square working with Akon. It’s crazy,
it’s about to go down!
TWU: Finally, what features or collaborations can we expect from you in the future?
Davido: I have tunes with Ice Prince and Wizkid coming out, and May
D… and I would like to work with Flavour.

Cultists Take Over University Of EKSU(Formerly UNAD)
There was a serious crisis in Ekiti State University(EKSU),former University of Ado Ekiti (UNAD) as cultists were reported to have been on rampage. Chris Brown - Don't Judge Me [Official Video]
Chris Brown released the video for his latest song “Don’t Judge Me — which is allegedly about Rihanna and it’s safe to say the video is just as emotional as the lyrics! “I don’t wanna go there/ We should never go there,” he sings. “Your hearing rumors about me/And you can’t stomach the thought/Of someone touchin my body /When your so close to my heart/I wont deny what their sayin’/Because most of it is true/But it was all before I fell for you/So please babe.” But the most telling part of the lyrics is the chorus when Chris appears to be singing directly to RiRi. So please don’t judge me/ And I won’t judge you/ Cause it could get ugly/ Before it gets beautiful.” he sings. Chris is also sporting his blonde ‘do in the video which Rihanna used in her “We Found Love” video. But the story line in the video is quite heart-wrenching. Chris embarks on a suicide mission and leaves behind two women, perhaps they’re supposed to portray Rihanna and Karrueche Tran? Hmm!
Former Bank PHB boss used embezzled N45m to pay church tithes – EFCC
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused a former managing director of Bank PHB, Mr Francis Atuche, of using depositors’ funds to pay N45 million in church tithes.
Lead prosecution counsel, Kemi Pinheiro, today made the accusation at the Lagos High Court, sitting in Ikeja, while leading in evidence a key witness, Mr Solomon Abolaji Ogunsola, a former staff of PHB Mortgages Limited. Atuche paid the money from an account of PHB Mortgage Limited.
Pinheiro presented documents in court, some of them e-mails sent as an order to release the sum of N35million to St. Monica Catholic church, Ibusa, Delta State, and another sum of N10million to another St. Augustine Catholic Church. Ogunsola told the court that Atuche sent the money to the two churches in Delta State because he hails from the state.
Ogunsola also admitted knowing two companies: Claremount Nigeria Limited and Claremount Asset Management.
He said that Claremount Nigeria Limited had a call account with his bank and the account was owned by Atuche.
He explained that the only document on the call account’s file was a reference letter which bears Atuche’s name. The document was admitted as exhibit.
In addition, various transactions carried out by Atuche in his statements of account with Claremount Nigeria Limited and Claremount Asset Management Limited were read. Atuche had denied having anything to do with the two companies.
Justice Lateefa Okunnu admitted the accounts as exhibits.
The EFCC counsel also led in evidence, one Mr Andy Uzomor, another staff of PHB Mortgage Limited, who presented a 39-page document before the court as exhibit.
The presentation of the document was opposed by lead defence counsel, Anthony Idigbe, who claimed that some of the documents had to do with a N20million transaction between his law chambers and Atuche. Idigbe urged the court not to admit the particular section as it will deny Atuche a right to a counsel of his choice.
According to him, if the document was admitted either himself or his client will have to go into the witness box, which might force his chamber out of the case.
But Pinheiro insisted that Idigbe’s objections lacked substance in law.
According to him, some of the documents pertained to an account that Atuche had disowned. Besides, he referred to Section 38, sub-section 1 of the EFCC Establishment Act which grants the EFCC power to seek and receive information from anybody.
After listening to all their submissions, Justice Okunnu admitted the documents as exhibits and adjourned the case till October 4th, 2012.

Dame Patience Jonathan Allegedly Suffering From Pakinson's Disease
Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan, is battling an onset of Parkinson’s disease that has complicated her recovery from a surgical procedure in Germany, several reliable sources have disclosed.
In interviews with three sources familiar with Mrs. Jonathan’s health status, it was learnt that the Nigerian president’s wife is beset by Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative syndrome. The disease is a progressive disorder of the nervous system.
The bombshell revelation about the First Lady’s medical woes was first made known by a source familiar with Mrs. Jonathan’s previous secret treatments in Spain and Italy. The source disclosed that Mrs. Jonathan had battled Parkinson’s for some years now. In addition, doctors had advised her to “do something urgent about her morbid body mass index (BMI),” said the source. She added that Mrs. Jonathan had indeed considered undergoing the kind of tummy tuck procedure that former Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha once had.
Two other sources close to the Jonathans' confirmed that the First Lady has been dogged by Parkinson’s. One said the disease was largely responsible for her clumsiness, drawling speech and slow movement at public events. He added that Mrs. Jonathan has been suffering serious trembling in the left hand. “That’s why she always uses her right to hold the microphone when speaking at public events,” the source revealed. Mrs. Jonathan also reportedly is affected by stiffness of the limbs and trunk which affects her movement.
A news staffer at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) is also reported to have said that Mrs. Jonathan’s aides warned reporters covering her never to film her beyond her waist. “Her senior personal assistant told the crew covering her long ago: ‘Don’t ever film Madam’s waist. Show her face only.’ That’s been the code at NTA.”
Two of our sources stated that Mrs. Jonathan had made efforts to slow the disease that had started to ravage her. “She has been visiting a health farm in Italy on a regular basis since 2010,” one source revealed. “To alleviate her pain, she has been taking her medication religiously.”
A friend of Mrs. Jonathan’s said that the First Lady’s health maladies include anxiety, occasional memory loss and disorientation. In addition, her blood pressure often rises to dangerous levels, forcing her to take a cocktail of anti-hypertensive drugs.
Also, our sources said that some officials attached to the First Lady’s office described her as constantly depressed, prone to snapping at people at the slightest provocation. “The First Lady can just get angry at the slightest provocation and rain abuses at anybody in sight,” he said.
As happened during the health crisis of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, the Nigerian Presidency’s reaction to Mrs. Jonathan’s health condition is to be mum.
When a senior aide of President Jonathan was contacted on the matter of the First Lady’s illness, he sharply said, “I’m not saying anything. And please don’t mention that you spoke to me.”
It is said that officials of the Presidency are under a virtual oath of secrecy on the issue of Mrs. Jonathan’s health crisis.
